Print is the oldest form of marking information. The
summerians used sticks to imprint onto clay tablets.
Gutenberg improved on the hand to paper method by imprinting
with lead type that was set in a block to form a page
onto paper. In theory we still use this method today.
Because there is so much print around us we need to
focus quickly on important information. Good design
helps present something that is eye catching and stands
out from the sea of other information.
